The short version

GPS Camera Snap has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no trackers. Rexstart runs no servers that receive your data. Your photos are saved only on your device and are never uploaded to us.

What the app uses on your device

Camera — to take photos, which are stored only in your device's gallery.
Location — used at the moment of capture to stamp each photo with its address and coordinates, and to embed GPS data in the photo's EXIF.

Requests that leave your device

Two features need the internet and send only the coordinate they need. These requests happen while the camera screen is active and your location changes by approximately 11 meters or more. The address and map stamped on a photo come from that most recent lookup — not a fresh request made at the instant you press the shutter, so they can be a little behind if you haven't moved:

Address lookup uses Android's geocoder, which on most phones sends the coordinate to Google to return a street address.
The map thumbnail is fetched from OpenStreetMap tile servers.

These providers receive the coordinate under their own privacy policies; we don't control their processing and we don't receive or store any of it. If you never want a coordinate to leave the device, avoid relying on the address and map (a future update will make them optional).

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no backend, so there is no personal data for us to collect, store, sell, or share.

Your rights (GDPR & DPDP)

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or erase. Your photos and their embedded location data stay under your control on your device; delete them anytime from within the app or your gallery.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published here and ships inside the app with a new date at the top.
